Hi everyone! My name is Jessie and I grew up in Denver, Colorado. I am currently a third-year medical student at SUNY Upstate Medical University. When I’m not studying I enjoy volunteering a with a local ski patrol, and as an EMT. I also love distance running (especially on trails) and have been starting to get into triathlons! 

My favorite aspect of wilderness medicine is expedition medicine! Before medical school I led backpacking and canoeing trips in some of the more remote areas of the American West and Canada, and I loved the creative problem solving that can happen when you’re out in the backcountry for multiple weeks.
