MS2 - St. George's University
Abigail was raised outside of Philadelphia and grew up with a deep appreciation for the outdoors and a passion for adventure—from backpacking and skiing to cycling across the United States. She earned her B.S. in Neuroscience from Cornell University in 2019, after which she spent two years conducting neurosurgery research at the University of Pennsylvania, with a focus on post-traumatic epilepsy. During this time, she also discovered a passion for triathlons and endurance racing. Before matriculating into medical school, Abigail moved to Jackson Hole, Wyoming, where she fell in love with backcountry skiing, worked as a medical assistant, and enjoyed learning about mountain medicine. Now in her second year of medical school, she continues to explore her interest in practicing medicine in wilderness and resource-limited environments, with formative experiences in both the Caribbean and in Kenya.
Through her work with GOWME Abigail hopes to promote Wilderness Medicine education, inspire interdisciplinary collaboration, and empower the next generation of healthcare providers to explore and contribute to this dynamic field.
